Time for blogging during the mass

ImageHello you all,
After trying several times, I finally have the opportunity to go onto the internet. Frère Mbeshi is kind as to let me use his laptop while all people of the centre have gone to attend the mass. Here people pray a lot and Marc also undergoes an intensive "prayer internship"! The atmosphere in the centre is better than it was two years ago and there are things left over from our then-mission!

For the insiders, Toto has become a man. He comes out of his bed and makes beautiful embroided cloths, napkins and tablecloths. I will buy one from him, even if I do not know whether I will ever use it. He goes to school and is still being alphabetised. Every day, I am allocated to another work in order to have a look at some patients together with the kinesitherapist on duty.

Yesterday, we visited the paraplegics. Mind you, these are severely handicapped people and yet they get so little therapy. In order to be able to adapt to their disability, they should be much more active. Now they are lying in bed staring at ceiling and they do not receive any occupational therapy.

We are alive and we have electricity every evening!!!! In the evening, there is a real good atmosphere and yesterday, Robert, the brother, already proposed to go out! In the middle of the week! This is indeed different from the situation as it was two years ago, isn't it!

The mass is over, and I am going to leave it here and give everybody a big hug.
