Everything is improvised...

Due to the fact that our team has not had any possibility to blog while staying in Gitega, Burundi, we do the blogging for them with a couple of striking lines from their report and their beautiful photos.

In total, the team carried out 24 orthopaedic operations, mainly on children. During the 51 consultations, we paid extra attention to the preparation of good files for each patient so that we can be sure that, also after they had undergone their operations, the patients can be followed up on correctly.

Remark by Patrick on the Centre for the Disabled of Makamba: everything is improvised.

The team noticed that children with cerebral palsy were languishing: There were many EMC children for whom the centre does neither have a specific therapy nor basic material.

There was work to do for MWV!
