Jean de Dieu, a gift from God but not perfect. He is 8 years old and has a nasty cleft lip. He came to us for consultation and asked: "Can you give me a new face? I want to be able to give a smile to my sister without her starting to cry..."

It was a captivating moment, the day that he was allowed to take off his bandage. He looked into the small shard mirror in order to be able to contemplate his new face. He remained silent for a moment and I held my breath. But then his corners of the mouth slowly went up, his first perfect smile.
