Background & Information
Leo will closely cooperate with the local general practitioners. It will help to interpret laboratory results and seek to adapt the treatment according to these results. Also, they will supervise and guide them during the consultations.
Ingrid will help them with these consultations and explain to the Congolese nurses what their task is. she will teach the local staff in hygiene and will teach the basic techniques to be applied in the care of injuries.
Paul and Herman have a totally different mission. They will ensure that there is running water in the hospital. Together with an engineer of Vivaqua ((Belgium's largest producer of drinking water) they will further rehabilitate the water reservoirs and also evaluate the water project. Hopefully, the hospital will never again be without clean water after this mission!
